He is an executive professor and master of horn playing in China Central Conservatory of music. In 1983, he won the first round horn competition in China. He used to be the chief horn of the orchestra of the general political song and dance troupe, the chief horn of the China Symphony Orchestra (central Orchestra), the chief of the Central Opera House Symphony Orchestra, and the chief of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra. He has served as a judge of the assessment committee of the Ministry of culture, the judge of the first national wind chamber music competition, the judge director of the competition committee of the first Chinese horn Art Festival, the judge of the seventh "Golden Bell Award" of Chinese music, and a member of the national grading examination expert committee.
